If you google “erection foreman” you will see that it is, indeed, a job title. It appears generically as a construction foreman, but more specifically in relation to the erection of steel structures.

That plate was below the information tag for one of the water towers at work. It was built by a company called Phoenix steel and erecting.

I took the picture this morning. The water tower it was attached to was built in 2008 so it’s not a case of a job with something that would be considered an outdated job title either.
